Day 31 - Terrace Bay to White Lake Provincial Park

Saturday, June 17, 2017

This is the view we woke up to this morning!!  Ya baby!
There was an old guy in a truck who came to the beach to read every day.  He said good meals could be had at the Drifter, so we left our waterfront property and stopped for breakfast.  And a good breakfast it was.  Got a quick shot of the duo at the Lighthouse before they left.
And off they ride into the fog.

It looks like the world just drops off.
Lots of awesome wild flowers are in bloom.
Lots of uphill climbing.
Caroline's ride for the day.
Shortly after picking up Caroline she was riding shotgun and spotted a bear up on a rock cut!  I caught a glimpse of him.  He majestic standing up on the ledge watching us drive by nonchalantly.
We pulled over and I got a pic of him as he crossed the road.
He was a big bugger!!

Lynn stopped her brother to warn him of the impending danger.
This is the Pic River with the fog and Superior beyond the train bridge.
We had to stop at Mary's gifts to see what the signs were all about along the way.
It's the old Police Office and the jail cells are still in there.  This one was pink from the jail days.  Supposed to calm down the jailbirds.
A small section of decent shoulder.
The Tourist Information at Marathon is still closed.  What's with that??
This is Brittany and Bruno's converted shuttle bus.  We met them at the River Gorge in Terrace Bay yesterday.
This is my first wife Chris' maiden name.  Cool.
This was Ritchie's ride and climb (lots of climbing).

We stayed in White Lake Provincial Park.  It was about 4 km to get to our site (see Below).  If you look closely in the photo you can see the #17 Hwy Bridge.

Hard to believe we've been on the road for 31 days (actually 45 for Lynn and I) and loving it!
