Day 36 - Sault Ste. Marie to Blind River

We woke up to a torrential downpour this morning, but then it lightened up and Ritchie and Caroline took off.  It took us awhile to catch the Dynamic Duo today after groceries and a propane fill.  

Another BST (Big Stupid Thing)!

Fortunately, the rain was holding off and it was "relatively" flat today (compared to the last few days) even though it didn't look like it as we left The Soo!

This wasn't a BST, just very cool!

 One of our checkpoints was Bruce Mines.  For a population of 600 people they had a beautiful Marina and Park, lots of benches along the water and a huge gazebo with seating around it for small concerts.

 .......and this Tiny Library!  Take a book, leave a book.

Our dynamic Duo had a very significant day.

Caroline did the full distance, 145 km another new personal best!!!👏👏👏

That gives her over 2000 km so far and just under 10 km (9.9) of vertical climbing!👍

Ritchie now has over 4000 km and 22.1 km of climbing! 😮👏👏👏

Amazing for both of them.

Our destination today was Blind River.

We stayed at McIvers Motel and campground (5 sites!).   By the time we got there it started to pour.  Whose tent is that in the distance?

Denis Paquet!  Our cyclist friend from Montreal.  We just missed him yesterday at the Pow Wow.

Its always great to see Denis and get caught up on our adventures.  He is a real great guy.  He really enjoyed the warm dry RV before departing for bed.  We hope we will continue to cross paths.

And look who he brought over with him.....Margaret!!  

The romance seemed to be growing...........

But then...............

Moose Canu showed up!!

You know what they say, three's a crowd........

Oh my Gosh!!

There have been so many great stories on this great adventure, but this one has taken an awkward turn!
